He has also served as member of the Board of Directors of Dubai Islamic Bank for a period of five years from 2006 to 2011 during which he chaired the Board Credit Committee.
Saleh commenced as Chairman of Lootah Real Estate Development in 2002 in order to fulfill the board’s vision of improving lifestyles by creating modern communities with contemporary design and premium quality.
Saleh is a graduate of Islamic Banking from the Islamic School for Training & Education, Dubai and an alumnus of IMD Switzerland and Harvard Business School.
In a business career that spans more than two decades, Saleh Abdulla Lootah has executed strategic decisions across properties, food and beverage, Islamic finance, and insurance corporations across the globe.

He contributed extensively in applying the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) Model of Excellence at Al Islami Foods, which led it to become the recipient of the Dubai Quality Award in 2003 (the first food company to win such an award).
As an avid contributor to the Food & Beverage industry, Saleh Abdullah Lootah was part of the Agribusiness Seminar at Harvard Business School in USA and India in 2004 and 2009 respectively, sharing ideas and experiences with various international business leaders. He is well sought after by the media with his opinion columns appearing regularly in highly circulated Arabic and English language publications.
In addition to his business leadership, Saleh Abdullah Lootah continues to play a leading role in advocating the execution of Agribusiness with values and pride; this contributes to the well-being of global society. He also endeavours to change the perception of Islam by doing business the right way and contributing to change in society.
Born and raised in the UAE, Saleh Abdullah Lootah received his Bachelor’s degree from California State University and a General Management Program from Harvard Business School. He is married to Asma Ali Alechla and is the father of six children
